Propylene glycol ethers can be used as solvents for alkyd resin, acrylic resin and polyester paint, etc. In painting industry, surface films of those paints prepared for the aid of it being characterized by clean, even and fast. It can substitute foralcohol solvents during the resolution of dyes as a good kind of coupler, besides in the production of printing ink, changing some formulas by using it can reduce toxicity, so as to improve operation environment and printing quality. In case the products of propylene-glycol ethers are prepared in concentration-type cleaning agents, there will be a good effect. As one of main compositions of a new-type braking liquid, the content of propylene-glycol ether is up to over 40%. In addition, the product is applied to multicolor paints, photosensitive glues, PS plate cleaning, printing, electronic chemical, fuel additives for jet engines(deicing agent), extractants and high boiling solvents, etc.
